Holy Basil

Four of us ate at the Holy Basil, a Vietnamese restaurant in Sydney CBD inside Shark Hotel, after being recommended by some friends. From first sight, there is a peaceful yet vibrant theme and the service is rather friendly.

The atmosphere was relaxing, voices didn't carry throughout the restaurant, and there was a vast array of dishes available to order on the menu. The four of us ordered different meals, and all were satisfied with what we ordered, as the food was fresh, tasty, and relatively cheap at approximately ~$14 per dish. With each dish, you were able to choose the type of meat; chicken, beef, lamb, pork, king prawn, or seafood. I ordered the Pad Thai noodles with chicken, the flavours mixed well together, along with great textures.
Chicken Pad Thai Noodles $13.90

We did not choose to have any desserts, as we were in a hurry to watch the Liverpool vs Manchester City game on time. So it was fortunate that the meals came out with less than 15 minutes wait!

So if you're in the city, looking for a quick meal that has an impeccable dollar value, then I suggest the Holy Basil is the place to go! It's easy to access via public transport and rather conveniently placed in the city.

I give it 4/5.
